Node

The Node Tool  represents an object located at a point and is the point of connectivity between links in the network. Selecting the node tool changes the cursor to a cross-hair shape  and places you in a mode for creating node objects. Clicking anywhere inside the window will create a new node at that point with display attributes identical to those of the node tool shown in the toolstrip.

XPRafts uses a node tool to represent a junction of links and also as the point of input for the local catchment within the drainage network.
