The Print Preview command allows the user to make changes and format the InfoSewer display prior to plotting.

The Layout Tab

The layout tab allows the user to modify the appearance of a preview prior to printing.

  •  Date Display Format - Use this drop down box to change the format of the date (located in the bottom right corner of the plot) prior to printing.  The user has 9 date formats to choose from.

  •  Show Border - When this box is ON (checked) a border will appear around the print at a margin distance as specified through the Setup button found at the top of the dialog box.  Use the Size (Pt) box to change the thickness of the border.  Use the setup button to change the margins of the border.

  •  Show Legend - When this box is ON (checked) a legend box will be placed at the bottom of the plot at a height as specified in the Size (inch) box.  Use the Size box to adjust the height of the legend.

  •  Font for Legend Text - By clicking this button, the user is able to specify a font for the legend.

  •  Auto Scale Font Size - When this box is ON (checked) the legend text will be sized accordingly to "fit" in the provided legend box.  If OFF (unchecked), the text for the legend will be placed at the size as specified by the Font for Legend Text.

The Header tab

The Header tab controls the placement of head text on an InfoSewer plot.

Show Page Header - When this box is ON (checked) a header will be placed at the top of the plot.  The first line is for text in the upper left corner, the second line is to place header text in the upper middle of the plot while the third line is for text in the upper right corner.  Use the Apply Changes button to preview header text.  Use the following "shortcut" keys to populate the header and footer text.

  •  %T - Title (the name of the current .HSW project file)

  •  %D - Current Date (as specified on your computer)

  •  %P - Project Description (as specified from Tools -> Preferences -> Project)

  •  %E - Design Engineer (as specified from Tools -> Preferences -> Project)

Font for Header - By clicking this button, the user is able to specify a font for the header text.

The Footer tab

The Footer tab controls the placement of footer text on an InfoSewer plot.

Show Page Footer - When this box is ON (checked) a footer will be placed at the bottom of the plot.  The first line is for text in the bottom left corner, the second line is to place footer text in the bottom middle of the plot while the third line is for text in the bottom right corner.  Use the Apply Changes button to preview footer.  Use the following "shortcut" keys to populate the header and footer text.

  •  %T - Title (the name of the current .HSW project file)

  •  %D - Current Date (as specified on your computer)

  •  %P - Project Description (as specified from Tools -> Preferences -> Project)

  •  %E - Design Engineer (as specified from Tools -> Preferences -> Project)
